Over-thinking It

A fiery smog filled the air as the small band ascended the blackened tower, a hate-filled spire which a vicious flight of dragons called home. Higher and higher they climbed and the air seemed to clear as daylight peaked in from somewhere up ahead. The leader of the band, a minotaur, stopped them suddenly. The large armored beast turned around, his deep voice calm and collected.

"Thane Nefarious dwells just beyond these steps. He is lord and master of these halls, and any being who walks within them. We must approach with caution."

New Beginnings and Fresh Outlooks

A rogue crept forth into the dark hallway, her footfalls silent upon the cold dirt of the burrow. Sneaking had always come naturally to her, a fact which lead her to consistently thank her halfling heritage. Stopping suddenly, she raised a hand to her chin, staring forward inquisitively. After a moment of deliberation, she signaled for her allies to advance to her position.

Miniatures: A New Game and New Packaging

So this week I'm going to talk a little bit about two new miniatures lines that will be shipping to stores near you very soon. I'll be talking about one today, and the next tomorrow. I'm pretty excited about each of these, and I'm sure you will be too.

First up we have the World of Warcraft Miniatures Game. This is a new line of miniatures based on the ever-popular and always expanding games in the Warcraft series. It has a few distinct innovations, and several advantages and disadvantages to most miniature games.

Homebrew Gaming 2: WoW for 4th Edition

Hey folks.

Today is the day that I give to you the complete first incarnation of the Warcraft Races compatible with DnD's 4th Edition. These are rough, first playtest drafts and I'm counting on all of you to help me out with some notes, thoughts, and reviews.

For now, I'm just going to let you folks have at it, and next week I'll explain what thought processes went into each race, and how your comments and thoughts are going to change them.

4th Edition Bard

So, it seems that Wizards has released details of the fourth edition bard, something I am very excited about.

So, I can't really tell you guys too much. It has to do with the fact the the details on the 4th Edition Bard are confined within the halls of DnD Insider, an online pay-subscription service for DnD content. It's an interesting service, and I'll be detailing more reviews of it's various bells and whistles soon.

But, I can simply talk about it, in so many words.
